What is a Rake Riddle Bucket?

The rake riddle bucket, also known as a rake bucket, is a 2-in-1 attachment designed to be used with excavators for landscaping and land preparation jobs. The rake bucket combines your standard land clearance rake and riddle bucket into one hybrid attachment, allowing you to carry out the job of two attachments with just one.

The rake riddle bucket is usually made with a slotted shell like the riddle bucket, and tines extending beyond the lip plate to be used as a land rake. These features allow you to separate out the larger materials from the fines, for example removing bricks from soil or pea shingle. The rake tines also allow you to tear out overgrown shrubs, remove unwanted turf and rake the surface ready for further planting or seeding jobs.

Stand-out Features of the Rhinox Rake Riddle Bucket

The Rhinox rake riddle bucket is a standout among its competitors, boasting an innovative design and unmatched performance. The unique features set them apart from the rest, making them the top choice for those seeking efficiency and reliability. Let's delve into the key features to understand what makes it a game-changer in the market.

Heavy Duty Construction with a Lifetime Guarantee

Manufactured with durability in mind, the Rhinox rake bucket is built to last. The heavy-duty top tube and reinforced steel frame ensures longevity, even in the most challenging working conditions. The distinctive design incorporates a reinforced support plate across the tines that provides extra strength and rigidity, preventing the tines from bending or buckling and making it ideal for sifting and sorting materials such as rocks, roots and debris. As a testament to the quality build, all Rhinox rake riddle buckets comes with a lifetime guarantee on the welds, to provide you with the confidence that your product is built to last.

Grading Bucket-Style Shell

The unique grading bucket style shell allows you to sift and separate large amounts of materials in one scoop, dramatically increasing the productivity and efficiency of the job. Not only this, the wider, curved shell design provides a larger surface area to be able to transport awkward objects, such as fence posts and logs, across sites. The rake riddle bucket pairs perfectly with a hydraulic thumb to clamp objects in place while moving, ensuring optimal safety and minimal chance of damage to bystanders or other equipment.

Extended Tines with 2 Inch or 3 Inch Spacings

The tines of the Rhinox rake riddle bucket extend beyond the lip plate to make removing overgrown or unwanted plants easier. The extended tines also allow you to remove turf and rake through top soil ready for planting or seeding. The Rhinox 0.75 ton to 9 ton rake riddle buckets come with 2 inch wide spaces between the tines, with the 12 ton to 25 ton rake riddle buckets having 3 inches. These gaps ensure that the finer materials can pass through while larger objects are retained in the bucket, making it ideal for landscapers to get a profiled finish.

Removable Pins & Dedicated Hangers

Not all excavators and quick couplers are made to the same pick up specifications. To ensure the Rhinox rake riddle buckets can be utilised across the industry, we manufactured them to suit the most common machine makes and models on standard 2-pins from 0.75 ton to 8 tons, including Bobcat, Kubota, JCB and Takeuchi. Alongside standard 2-pin, Rhinox rake buckets are also manufactured to suit the dedicated quick attach systems, such as Martin hitch and Harford safelock. All Rhinox rake riddle buckets are available to purchase online for delivery in 4 to 7 business day delivery.

Frequently Asked Question:

Can I use a quick hitch with an excavator rake riddle bucket?

At Rhinox, we advocate for using a quick hitch to mount your buckets and attachments to your excavator. This not only protects the end of your excavator arm and attachments from wear but also ensures smoother operations. If you anticipate frequent use of your rake riddle bucket for riddling and sifting tasks, it's advisable to directly mount the attachment to your excavator. Continuous riddling can accelerate wear on your quick coupler, which might lead to costly replacements compared to dipper end parts. Therefore, it's essential to assess the frequency of attachment usage for each task to make an informed choice as to whether you should use your attachment with a quick coupler.
