The Rhinox Hydraulic Quick Coupler is made from a combination of machined-steel and cast-steel components. The main coupler body of our fabricated hydraulic quick hitches is an assembly of solid steel plates welded to together to create one solid structure. The lower half of the coupler, known as the pickup plates, and the rear latch are hardened to HB500 for maximum wear resistance. These components are continually subject to contact with other equipment, usually bucket pins when changing your attachments, which can cause wear over time. For this reason, we manufacture from high-strength, hardened steel to withstand this repeated contact and provide long-lasting performance.
The front hook, deadlock latch is manufactured from cast steel, providing the high strength and wear resistance required for a component that moves every time the hitch is locked and unlocked. Using cast steel allows us to add hardening additives during the melting process, enhancing the strength and long-term durability of the latch. The locking rear latch locks the rear attachment pin into the latch, with the oversized coil spring providing a positive pressure on the latch when engaged to ensure the latch remains closed. The curved front hook features a 'deadlock' latch which is designed to lock the front attachment pin into the front hook to avoid unsafe ejection during operation. The curved front hook also features a pin pocket, which helps secure the attachment pin and minimises the risk of the attachment sliding away during connection.
