Rhinox S60 & S70 Pallet Forks - Key Features & Benefits

Rhinox S60 Pallet Forks

S60 & S70 Pick Up -

The Rhinox excavator pallet forks are now designed with fixed pins for the dedicated pick-up of the S60 and S70 hydraulic tilt rotate hitch, such as Engcon, Rototilt, Steelwrist etc. For the Rhinox S60 pallet forks, the pins are set 480.5 mm apart, designed to be used on a 12 to 15 ton excavator. While the S70 pallet forks pins are set at 600 mm apart and designed for use on a 20 to 25 ton excavator. Equipping your excavator with these pallet forks allows for quick and easy switching between buckets and attachments on site. This ability to rapidly swap attachments reduces downtime and increases productivity, allowing you to spend more time working and less time changing tools.

Additionally, the excavator S60 and S70 tilt rotate pallet forks can be tilted and rotated to any required angle with your tilt rotate hitch. This flexibility is ideal for manoeuvring around tight or complex sites, enabling you to position loads precisely where they need to be. Whether it’s getting materials close to their final placement or positioning items like block and beam flooring, the tilting and rotating capabilities of these pallet forks enhance operational efficiency and accuracy. Not only does this setup save you money by eliminating the need to hire additional machines like telehandlers or forklifts for moving bulk materials such as pallets of bricks, but it also reduces the need for an extra operator, further cutting costs.

Floating Forks -

Like all Rhinox pallet forks, the Rhinox S60 and S70 models are manufactured with floating forks. These floating forks are attached to the carriage at a single point, allowing them to pivot freely as you position them under a load. This design minimises the risk of damaging the surface beneath your load, as the forks use gravity to stay as level as possible. This feature is particularly beneficial when loading and unloading in awkward positions where your excavator arm has limited space to manoeuvre. In contrast, fixed forks are more challenging to handle in such scenarios, as they must be inserted and removed in a flat position to load and unload materials.

Working Load Limit & LOLER Certificate -

Before using pallet forks on your excavator, it’s crucial to be aware of the Working Load Limit (W.L.L) to ensure you operate within safe parameters and avoid overstressing your machine and attachments. The Rhinox S60 pallet forks weigh 363 kg and have a W.L.L of 2,500 kg, while the Rhinox S70 pallet forks weigh 397 kg and also have a W.L.L of 2,500 kg. By law, all excavator pallet fork attachments used commercially must have a LOLER certificate (Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations). This certification ensures your equipment is safe to use and unlikely to fail within the certification period. All Rhinox excavator pallet forks come with a 6-month LOLER certificate, valid from the point of dispatch.

BE AWARE - If you’re purchasing a set of excavator pallet forks from a reseller or store, they may have been sitting for a while since their original dispatch, meaning the LOLER certificate could be expired or close to expiring. Be sure to discuss this with the seller before using the attachment.
