Utility Buckets / Uni-tusk Buckets

It’s estimated that 70,000 underground cable strikes occur every year in the UK, through operators hitting cables during digging. Many utility contractors now insist that buckets are used without teeth to reduce the chance of damaging the cables in the ground.

We recognised the importance of protecting lives but also identified another issue when removing the teeth… using your digging buckets without teeth causes a substantial increase in wear and maintenance costs to the edge of your buckets. That’s why we developed the uni-tusk blade for excavator digging buckets.

The uni-tusk is a cast steel bolt-on blade with curved edges that is designed to deflect away from cables in the ground while protecting your bucket edge from harsh wear.

The Rhinox uni-tusk is available for 1.5 to 4 ton excavators in 9” or 12” wide. Purchase either pre-installed to a bucket or as a standalone blade option.
